RE: [VIDEO] What gig did you just go to?

saw the incredible P.W.E.I. last night, band I've loved since I was introduced to This is the day... when I was at secondary school, but only seen once before at Phoenix Festival.

gig was advertised as part of a 3 day "greatest hits" tour, and the crowd was mostly like me, i.e. middled aged ppl there to see a band they've loved and followed since their youth :)

They were really good, Clint Mansell left the band many years ago to do the Hollywood soundtrack thing ( wonder what happened to him? ;) ) but Mary Byker is a great front man on the old and newer songs.

there were 3 new songs in the set, but they were surrounded by known and loved songs, so didn't slow things down. Good that a group of middled aged men on stage can still jump around for 90mins as can an audience :)

didn't take many photos, and just took a little video of one of the encore songs:

just watched it yet, yeh I really enjoyed it, nice change in direction. They certainly know how to bring out the best in what often seems like an odd choice of actor.

it's had a limited run at the Barbican, now moved to an extended run at West End.

sadly I didn't go, as was silly expensive, like all these shows are now :(
a couple of friends saw it, and said it was amazing, it's still silly expensive but at least more chance to see it now.

when it was at the Barbican, they did keep a certain amount of cheap tickets for sale each morning for those less fortunate, but I think you had to buy them at the door.

watched Rebel Moon pt1  again at the weekend, as I couldn't remember anything about it, quite enjoyed it again, it is what it is :)

heard pt2 was getting slated, just watched it, I guess if you didn't like part 1, you wouldn't like part2 , it's more of the same, well it would be really wouldn't it :)

quite enjoyed it, again, it's not ground breaking, it's kind of formulaic, but good enough if you like Star Wars ;)

they were both on 4/film 4 a while ago, I watched Venom Sunday night, then Venom 2 last night.

I quite enjoyed them both as silly dumb, switch off brain and enjoy action films. deleted off the box after i watched them as I can't imagine watching them again, well, maybe i will when venom 3 comes out, although there's not much subtle plot that it will be important to remember :)

that's a wierd problem you have, i'll have to try that tomorrow, Edge is now Chrome more or less so should work fine like Chrome does. maybe it's an addon is messing it up?

Still using browsers above, I've dabbled in waterfox and palemoon but no better than firefox.

tried opera, vivaldi, brave but didn't like them enough to switch.

have been trying arc on Win 11 the new latest big thing in browsing, but apart from the tabs being on side rather than top I've not noticed anything special about it

just watched the last 2 episodes back to back. I enjoyed this series, actually thought the episodes could have done with being a bit longer, and more episodes would have been good, but nicely different to the films and other serieses, less super-heroey and more serious

what's funny is when some-one moans about it being "woke" and then that person gets pounced on by ppl saying how the comic and old cartoon were "woke" before "woke" was a thing ;) there are some strange ppl out there, not even trolling,  moaning about something that Stan Lee always stood for!
